Yet another dissatisfied CSL-Sofas/Furniture Customer


I let everyone i speak to know what an appalling company csl is,they ruined our xmas.

so good to be able to voice my own recent disappointment with csl..
I too must be one of the 2% of unfortunate customers mentioned in the MD s response.

We visited our local csl store in Horwich, Bolton on 2 nov 06
and found just what we were looking for,the Nevada,the colour on display
was far too dark and although we were told we could have that colour within a week
as they were in stock we opted to have one made
as the salesman still guaranteed us pre xmas delivery.

Delivery was made on the 19 dec and after several attempts
and doors having to come off to our horror as the packaging
came off we discovered it wasnt the sofa we had ordered,
in fact it was nothing like and the chair ,
although it was the Nevada, wasnt the correct colour,
it was the colour that was on display….
the delivery crew contacted customer services and we were told
they would contact us later to try to resolve the problem,
but they didnt!

I contacted them myself the following morning at 9:40 stating that i
had commitments and couldnt wait by the phone all day
to which i was told they would ring me straight back, at 12:15 I was still waiting,
so I again rang them to say I had to go out for an appointment
and left them my mobile no, nobody rang back that day.

The next day I left it until dinner time before I rang them
only to be asked to be patient as its like trying to find a needle in a haystack!
At 17:20 later that day we were eventually told we were not going to get our furniture
before xmas after all as they didnt know what had happened to it
and they would need the incorrect ones back but they would offer us
some other furniture in the meantime so we would have something to sit on while we wait..
bearing in mind the struggle getting them in in the first place
and having to take time off work etc this was not acceptable..
I asked if we would be compensated and they said they would not charge us
the delivery fee if we were to have to change delivery at the last minute..
What an insult! I asked if that was it and after speaking to his manager
they agreed to deduct £89.. WOW.
Well considering the Jan sales were on straight after xmas
we would rather sit on the floor for xmas day than give them the custom.
We cancelled the order there and then.
